FunRaising for the Starlight Foundation!

The Motorama Funraising Drive for the Starlight Children's Foundation carries on our support for their amazing work going back to our involvement in becoming a foundation partner for the Starlight Express Room at the Lady Cilento Children's Hospital, which helps seriously ill kids and teenagers escape from the sometimes scary world of treatments, appointments and medications - as well as the brothers, sisters, cousins and friends who might get a little frightened by the thought of a hospital visit.

So, you can tell that they (along with the amazing Captain Starlight's who run the Starlight Express Room) do an amazing job to lift the spirits of kids going through a pretty tough time. That's why we were proud to get behind the Motorama Funraising Drive to raise money for the Foundation, giving away a $35,000 voucher towards anything at Motorama!

We had so much fun getting out to do activities like BBQs, morning teas, raffles and fundraising drives (literally - the team from Motorama Holden & HSV Springwood got over 60 cars together to drive on their Cruise for Charity! Now that's putting the FUN in fundraising!)

And now the winner has come to collect his new car, the hardest decision will be who gets to drive home - him or his partner! Adam and Sally already owned a Nissan, so when they got the phone call to say that they had won a $35,000 voucher towards any car at Motorama; they were stoked to upgrade to another one!

After a bit of discussion, they decided on a new Nissan Qashqai and they were all smiles when they came to pick up their brand new SUV! Congratulations Adam & Sally!

Everyone at Motorama pitched in to make the FunRaising Drive one of our most successful fundraising events, managing to raise over $20,000! This will directly fund at least three Starlight Wishes - which makes a wish come true for seriously ill kids and their family, whether that's a surfing lesson with Mick Fanning, a trip to the snow or a theme park, or even something as little as a few days away from the hospital so they can spend time with their family.
