Motorama has always been about supporting the community and this initiative is no different.
With the current drought that is gripping many parts of Australia, and close to 60% of Queensland, the Motorama group have decided to donate a bale of hay for every car sold throughout August.
Together with the 4X4XMORE Club and the Lions Club of Killarney, we will deliver 2100 bales of hay to 40 local drought affected farmers from.
On Saturday 8th September, the Motorama 4X4XMORE Club have organised a special tag-along tour to the Killarney Showgrounds. There we will meet the local drought affected farmers, deliver the hay and enjoy a fundraiser lunch at the Killarney Hotel. As part of this fundraiser we'll also organise a raffle with all proceeds going to the local QCWA Farmers Fund.
You can help us to support our local drought affected farmers by taking part in this raffle and get our cash donation to the QCWA up to $10,000!
To finish the day, the 4X4XMORE Club will do a run along the 14 Creek Crossings of the Condamine River / Queen Mary Falls circuit.
Darren Johnson, General Manager at Motorama Mitsubishi Moorooka, is one of the people who started the initiative for the Hay Drive:
"With so much of Qld drought declared, it is really fulfilling to see our staff and customers get behind this initiative to help our farmers in need. I personally can't wait to see the convoy of customers loaded up with hay roll into Killarney and to show the farmers that they are not alone and have plenty of support from the city".
