ChaplainWatch is an independent charity focused on public safety in public places overnight in the entertainment precincts. Their motivation is to watch out for you when good times go bad.
Every Friday and Saturday night, the NightWatch Chaplains actively patrol the Valley, Brisbane CBD and Caxton Streets, from 11pm until the early morning. They call it NightWatch. This vital service helps anyone who may be left vulnerable if not for the NightWatch teams.
When last years devastating hailstorm wrote off their vehicles, ChaplainWatch were left underinsured to replace them, leaving them unable to continue their important work.
Motorama Nissan was able to provide two brand new Nissan X-Trails to replace in the ChaplainWatch fleet.
Carl Martin, General Manager at Motorama Nissan, was more than happy to provide the vehicles, and to help out a Brisbane-based charity performing work that often go unrecognised in the community.
“When we found out that they weren’t able to replace their cars through their insurer, the team at Motorama suggested we cover the gap between what they could claim on their insurance and what they needed in a vehicle,”
“The last X-Trails in the ChaplainWatch fleet were helping to get the NightWatch teams out onto the streets to help the people at their most vulnerable, so we were more than happy to provide them the cars to keep them performing their great work in the community” he said.
“It was a pleasure to work with ChaplainWatch and the team at Motorama Nissan are honoured to have been able to help out those who are in the community helping others every day,” Mr Martin said.
Motorama Nissan is the sole Nissan dealership within the Motorama Group at the Browns Plains hub of dealerships.
ChaplainWatch works in co-operation with other services such as the Police, Ambulance and venue stakeholders to identify and assist at-risk individuals in areas and situations that can be potentially harmful.
