5 Things We Love About the Kia EV3 GT-Line

One of our team took the EV3 GT-Line home for the weekend and came back with one key takeaway: no range stress whatsoever.

Whether it was the usual back-and-forth commute, ducking out for errands, or even just cruising around town, the range held up perfectly.

With up to 560km of WLTP range from the Long Range battery, the EV3 is more than equipped to handle everyday life in Brisbane. You're not constantly checking the battery percentage or planning your route around charging stations.

It just works - and that peace of mind is worth a lot.

You can plug stuff into it (and that's just cool)

We love a feature that's genuinely useful, and the EV3's V2L (Vehicle to Load) system is exactly that.

We plugged in a laptop to test it out, and it worked like a charm - but that's just scratching the surface.

Whether you're off to the beach, heading out on a picnic, camping for the weekend, or just always on the go, having the ability to power small appliances or devices straight from your car is ridiculously handy. It's one of those features that makes you rethink what a car can do - and makes the EV3 feel like more than just transport.

Comfort that feels premium (without the price tag)

The GT-Line variant brings a ton of luxury into a compact SUV. You're looking at heated and ventilated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, and a Harman Kardon sound system - all standard.

But the standout extras for us? The lounge seat that lets you recline and kick back while charging, and the sliding centre table that gives you an actual work surface for your laptop or lunch on the go.

These are the kinds of clever, comfort-focused touches you usually only see in much pricier EVs - but Kia's packed them into the EV3 GT-Line.

Seriously sleek styling

The EV3 looks the part, and then some. With design cues borrowed from the bigger EV9, it carries that bold, modern energy in a smaller, city-friendly package.

From the cube-style LED headlights to the flush door handles and clean lines, it's a sharp-looking car from every angle.

It comes in a few fun colour options too - Frost Blue, Terracotta, and the standout Matcha Green (which we reckon the girly-pops will especially love). Kia's nailed the proportions here; the EV3 is big enough to be practical, but still compact and agile.

In terms of design, it sits perfectly between the existing EV6 and EV9 in the Kia electric family.

Small SUV on the outside, surprisingly big on the inside

Despite being a smaller SUV, the EV3 is genuinely practical.

You've got a decent 460L of boot space, with an adjustable boot floor that either gives you more storage underneath or a deeper overall boot setup.

Fold the rear seats flat, and you've got loads of space for larger items like prams, suitcases or camping gear.

There's a handy frunk up front for smaller items (or your charging cable), and the flat floor in the back seat means more comfort for rear passengers, too.

It's a great fit for active singles and couples, but also works well for small families thanks to the flexible space and storage.
