Exciting New & Upgraded Models Arriving at Motorama Kia in 2024
A range of Kia models are landing at Motorama in 2024 from facelifted favourites to all-new high-tech EVs.
Here's a quick summary of some of the exciting models we're looking forward to seeing in 2024.
Sorento (Facelift)
If you're in the market for a new family SUV, you can't miss the facelifted 2024 Kia Sorento, and lucky for you, it has already arrived in our showrooms.
Updated front and rear styling has improved the Sorento's overall looks while upgrades on the inside include a larger infotainment screen, USB-C ports in all three rows, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto adding a boost in convenience.
Picanto (Facelift)
Another facelifted model that we're lucky enough to already see in our showrooms is the petite Picanto hatchback. Bold new exterior styling gives this baby Kia an aggressive look from all angles with a range of new colours to suit your style.
The base model has been upgraded with new standard safety features that now include lane-keep assist, lane departure warning, blind-spot alert, rear cross-traffic alert, as well as pedestrian, cyclist and intersection detection added to the existing vehicle-only autonomous emergency braking system. The facelifted Picanto range starts from just $17,890 (plus on-road costs).
Sportage Hybrid
The 2024 Sportage will enjoy a new fuel-efficient option in the form of a hybrid powertrain. This combines Kia's 1.6-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine with a new electric motor and 1.2kWh battery. This offers a combined output of 169kW of power and 350Nm of torque offering a combined-cycle fuel economy of just 5.9L/100km.

Carnival (Facelift)
Set to arrive at Motorama Kia in the first quarter of 2024, Kia's loveable people-mover is getting a futuristic makeover inspired by its similarly sized electric-powered sibling, the EV9 SUV.
As of writing, the updates we're aware of are limited to exterior styling including a new front fascia and grille, redesigned headlights and tail lights, plus a new set of 18-inch and 19-inch wheel designs.
EV5
The next addition to Kia's futuristic battery-powered lineup will be the mid-sized EV5 SUV set to arrive in late 2024. Like its existing Kia EV siblings, the EV5 is based on a dedicated electric-car platform, utilising the same E-GMP architecture as the EV6 and EV9.
While few details have been released, the EV5 will be of similar size to the Sportage and feature a 120kW battery using 400-volt electric architecture. There are sure to be more rumblings about this exciting new EV in the coming months, so stay tuned for our updates.
